Spent most of the day debating with ID nuts and physics cooks on the BBC sites. I thought, having moved from the 'ethics' boards to the 'science' boards that I would leave behind all the nutters. It appears I was wrong. The nutters are there, they are just of different types. There are a bunch who claim to have sorted out the theory of everything 'intuitively' without maths or deep theory. There is the odd creationist but, thankfully, they are soon dispensed with. Went back to visit the Ethics boards and posted a new thread trying to entice out the ID nuts but they are wise to me now and, so far, no bites. I'll have to venture into some of their threads and draw them out that way. Intermittent visits to here and the science forum in UK (where all the real science people have gone after deserting the BBC) has kept my sanity. Got really annoyed arguing with some nut called Jck - Keohane. He doesn't know basic maths yet tells lifetime physics profs that they know nothing. Decided to look him up.... Success, found his book on Publish America website. Left a rather terse review and then posted back on the BBC to tell him I'd done it (honesty is always best :-) Plus I want to see his reaction. Ending the day by blogging here and posting a few posts before retiring... Goodnight campers. Chris. (0) Comments posted about this in the forum
