Kevin Rudd has stood aside for Julia Gillard, according to unconfirmed reports, avoiding a nasty leadership vote in the ALP caucus this morning.

If confimed, Julia Gillard is Australia's first woman PM.

I guess no-one was interested.  Sigh.  Too much else going on in the world !  Oil spill being the most important of course, so hardly likely that anyone would care too much that our Prime Minister (Kevin Rudd - just in case anyone didn't know his name) was ousted, almost overnight.   Well, we here, Downunder, are waiting to see what ensues with our new Prime Minister - First Woman to 'take control of the 'reins' of our Country.   Won't know til after the next Election later this year.
