Projects are initiated through the national organizations website, with all project fund-raising done independently through generous sponsor donations and grants.  After a chapter has been granted a bid, a small team is sent to investigate the area and do extensive detailing on the work to be done.  Projects typically take place during summer, spring break and over winter holidays.
