Title: Garlic
Post by: Astronuc on March 27, 2006, 03:32:51 PM
Well, I think I am going to grow some garlic this year - as an experiment.  Nothing like serendipity or a fortuitous opportunity to try something new.

It seems we have some garlic from our refrigerator or wherever, and it sprouted, so I'll take advantage and plant it.   ;D

Anyway, here are some sites I found:

I had tried Gourmet Garlic Gardens some years ago:

And I have found that two of their varieties suit our needs best. One yields si huge cloves per head and keeps for about 7 months. The other has many more cloves per head, but can keep for close to a year. So, we manage to grow most of the garlic we need, braided and hung in the kitchen. I've got less planted this year, but should still have enough to last several months.
