Title: The earth WILL die...Eventually.
Post by: tamriilin on April 17, 2007, 04:22:52 PM
Lately, I've heard an awful lot of people (mostly environmentalists - not that there's anything wrong with that, of course...yay environment and all that) saying that if we protect our natural resources, and recycle, and get rid of high-emission vehicles, and whatever else, our planet can stay green forever. But I'm here to tell you, this cannot happen.

There's one and one only reason for this - The sun will come to an end of its life cycle eventually. It may not be for many generations, but still... :end.gif: :end.gif: :end.gif:

Heh. Had to get that out of my system!

I hope I posted this in the right section of the forum...Move it if need be, Moderators.

This was my first post on these here fancy-fied forums. Hope you enjoyed reading it.

According to latest science findings, Earth will eventually meet its demise, but not for billions of years, but however life on the Earth will probably end in about 800 million to about 1.2 billion years due to the fact that the sun is growing brighter and hotter (mainly in the core), as it ages due to its gradually expanding causing the solar surface to slowly approach the Earth, which is the reason behind the expected temperture increase on the Earth's surface. As life on the Earth is cooked to death, the oceans will boil off, and eventually the atmosphere will be burned away.
