Why is the sky blue?

Sartoran,
The explination is a little complicated.  It deals with the properties of different atoms.
Different atoms absorb different colors of the spectrem, and let pass other colors.  It allows for spectrem analysis of elements.  Because our sky is primarily Nitrogen, Nitrogen absorbs most of the spectrem except blue, which it allows to pass, giving us a blue sky.  The other elements in our atmospere absorb other bandwidths of light, giving us the tone of sky blue we have
