Just returned from a secret spy mission from Bozoland and it is even worse now than it was before Captain Pay, and Calli became back!!! I hate to say it, but I don't think there is any hope for that place at all!!! The only thing going for it is their current news!!! I sure hope Oh Emperor Orstio gets the new site going, cause then there would be no reason what so ever to go back!!!! Mr. digital_bath over in bozo land needs to be shot!!!!!!
Snazee1, here reporting on secret mission, mission accomplished will be at Pete's place for next few days, trying to recover from Bozo readings!!!!

Troopers may have multiple duty assignments. What areas of specialization do you feel a special aptitude?
These may be in existing duty areas or in newly-created technical/combat/social/entertainment/scientific/etc. specialties.
Enthusiasm counts for more than expertise.
Assignments may be limited to here or to BozoSpace or some combination.
Re-assignment is simple if new duties are desired.
And always, all recruits must assist in any way need arises.

Well, writing sci-fi gives me a taste of many of those things. It also gives me some pretty fancy contacts around the aliens in my universes. I'll be the WAN's trader, getting us whatever we need for half price. Or maybe for free! Or maybe I can get someone to pay us to take their stuff.
Hey its happened before. Wierd alien cultures...

Do any of these titles appeal:
Ship's Scrounger
Merchant
Trader
If any of these or any other is appropriate. please reply.
Assignment will be logged and your title placed under your name - replacing "citizen".
BTW - your duties as author will continue in effect as long as you wish.

Ships Merchant should suffice. The minute we pull into dock just give me a list of the stuff we need. I'll take care of everything.

Please report to Kanine Komander DingoDog in "Dingo's Weapons Bay/Kitchen Forum." He is (among other duties) the Ship's Quartermaster.
He will provide you with specific requirements. Cooking and/or weapons design experience would be helpful.

About fifty pounds, for cooking and selling.
But about my ship, it's about three years old.
Engines are working properly to a degree still and it can change fuel source from endurium to shyneum.

*stares at the ship skeptically* Gee uh... thanks? How many laws does this thing violate? 4 or just 2?
No sweat about it though. I'll get it fixed up, make in 100 times better than it is.
BTW thanks for the site with the ship. I'll make sure to go over it while I'm upgrading the thing.

Nemesis2, I feel I must thank you for this wonderful gift. Your ship is exactly what I needed for my trading runs. After my recent test flights, I have discovered 3 microcracks in the hull, which are being repaired for me. Despite that, the ship is wonderful. The engines, although restarting a few times during my run, are quite fast and more than enough should I need to run away from any individuals who do not admire my trades. In return for this craft, all your orders are free of charge.
In other news, several of my trading partners would like to thank the crew of the WAN III for keeping this area free of Bozos. The Bozos have a tendency to slow trading routes, and everyone knows that we can not have that. I have also brought back some exotic plants should anyone be interested.

Hello Guys!
At last,I'm back.My modem burst once again ten days ago,I just made it repaired.
Glad to see we are now more than 100 members.
It will take me some time to tour my usual space websites and these forums before being up-to-date again,so if someone could get me a little summary of important events I missed since August 5.
Ex:Is Goldin finally out?Situation at SDC message board (not good according to Snazee1)?What's new here (hello, the Insomnia Crew!)?
Thanks!

The popular stereotype of the researcher is that of a skeptic and a pessimist. Nothing could be further from the truth! Scientists must be optimists at heart, in order to block out the incessant chorus of those who say "It cannot be done."

Good to see you're back, Vishniac! I was wondering what happened. Peter still seems to be MIA, though.
I guess you have seen that another ship has joined our cause. Capt. LonMc seemed somewhat baffled by all the Bozos at SDC, so I warped him here. He is creating his own port for the Insomnia.
We have been receiving members from several other places now. SDC seems almost tapped out: either people are already members here, or they have been by here and are just not interested. (I am hoping for one more rally of the Seekerbot, though.) People from other EZBoards have begun cruising by more often, as well.
Some good debates have been going on. You might have some input. Check out threads in Open Discussion, and Spacecraft. Also take a look in Space Business & Policy. And Space Science has been full of educational info lately.
