Did you know?

The Platypus is stranger than you think.

Platypuses have no nipples.  After the young hatch, the mother oozes milk from the pores all over her body.

The male platypus has a poison barb on the inside of its hind legs.  The purpose of this weapon is uncertain.

While often compared to the beaver, the platypus is only about 20 inches in length -- more comparable to the size of the muskrat.

The Platypus bill is actually just an elongated muzzle covered with much the same kind of tough skin found on a dog's nose.  This bill contains an electrically-sensitive organ that can detect the electrical signatures of the small aquatic animals it eats.

I also found a rather interesting person Sean Connolly who has posted journals of his trips around the world - http://www.gonewalkabout.com/

One his big trips - The Great Out There - around the world -
http://www.gonewalkabout.com/got/got.htm

"These journals contain details of my solo 14 month trip around the world through New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Kenya, Tanzania, Ireland, and various other destinations thrown in along the way. There's action, adventure, danger, romance, intrigue, all the ingredients for a good read if you don't mind my long-winded style. :-) Attacks in the Baluchistan desert, romance in Eire, train wrecks, starvation, strange foods, human greed and hospitality, paradise in all forms... Not bad for a recovering computer nerd who had never eaten Indian food before this trip... " - -  Sean Connolly

One of the coolest places I've been:

It is the ancient Mayan city of Tulum-Xa, in Quintana Roo, Mexico.  The province of Quintana Roo seems covered with thick jungle vegetation, and there are Mayan ruins scattered all over.  There are tours that will take you into the underwater caves (called cenotes).

In general, cool places are interesting, intellectually stimulating or spiritually stimulating places to go and experience.  India is full of interesting (cool) places to go.

For example - the Taj Mahal is one of the great buildings of the world.  It is an example of a man-made cool place.

There are many natural places to go in India as well - from the Himalayas in the North to the Southern tip, and from Assam and Manipur in the east to Gujarat and Rajasthan in the west.

Alokmohan, one can tour, hike the rim or the interior, and camp or stay at one of the lodges or nearby hotels.  The South Rim is very crowded; the North Rim is higher, less crowded, less development, but a much longer drive from most large cities in the region.

I go there every June to participate in the Grand Canyon Star Party, where amateur astronomers set up telescopes for visitors.  Good dark skies.
