Howdy from Missouri. Nice web site--I look forward to learning something new about my favorite hobby---space/astronomy. I'm out in the country but the city is slowly encroaching on my dark sky viewing--the lights are really messing me up. But I am moving soon to a location north of here--out in the real boonies and am looking forward to dark skies once again. I have a small telescope and get out whenever I can. I love to memorize constellations and keep posted on exciting things to see. I welcome any comments to my posts and am glad to see so many other space enthusiasts.

Hi Lorilynn, I'm new here too.

I love astronomy events. I'm waiting for sunspot 720 to rotate back around the Sun to our side and give us another big flare. Did you catch the last big aurora a few months ago from your location?

I found the latest comet the other day. I'm waiting for another big one to give us that across the sky tail.

And I took my son down to the southern states several years in a row to see the Leonid meteor storms. We were not disappointed. :1thumbup

Look forward to posting with you. ;D

Welcome Lorilynn,

In between posting about astronomy and scientific matters, do drop into Pete's Place for some entertainment.

The Crushed Velvet Lounge has everything.
