Moon - weather

Does moon affect the weather conditions ? If yes, how? If no, why people tend to relate weather conditions with the current phase of the moon ?

There appears to be no significant effects except for a minor cyclical change of about a third of 1 percent of a degree celcius in the upper atmosphere.

Yale is correct in saying that the site is a crank site, which is unfortunately full of bull crap. You have yet to learn how to sift fact from fiction on the 'net, which is unfortunately polluted with crap. It is called critical thinking, which is a VERY important skill to know and have.  Q

 No problem, man. I realize you are a beginner in astronomy with lots of questions, but we are here to help steer you in the right direction, and avoid lots of crap. I don't know if you have seen this web site, it is Phil Plait's site, called Bad Astronomy, which clears up alot of mis-conceptions, and is great for beginners.
