Rocketdyne Acquisition Completed

On August 2, 2005, United Technologies Corporation (UTC) completed its acquisition of Rocketdyne Propulsion & Power from The Boeing Company (see the related press release). Rocketdyne will combine with Pratt & Whitney's Space Propulsion division and operate as Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, a wholly owned subsidiary of UTC. Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne will focus solely on providing world-class space propulsion systems and services.

The disposition of Rocketdyne in is progress - most will probably stay with Pratt & Whitney, with some going to Hamilton-Sunstrand.
