Some think they are cute, and other think they are pests.
I think we had one in the garage, and it was living in the roof. Whatever it was, did quite a bit of damage to the masonary and wood. It was probably a grey squirrel, of which we have an abundance.
Anyway, I found this on the BBC about red squirrels in Whinfell Forest in Cumbria.

Where I grew up, there were a lot of red squirrels, and a few grey squirrels.
Occassionally, there would also be a black squirrel, which is just a mis-coloured red squirrel.
