Oh well, you...Guys..."It's a sexual stereotype: boys tend to play with toy cars, while girls like dolls. But male rhesus monkeys, suggests research, are no different. It could mean that males, whether human or monkey, have a biological predisposition to certain toys".

I saw something on television about this.  Quite interesting that our disposition towards certain roles may be genetic rather than cultural.

Good find Sarah90 and a "hi there" to ya!  8)

Regarding the article, I've always thought there were inherent differences - besides the obvious ones - between the sexes. For instance, I think males in general are better map-readers and the fairer sex has a better ability to vocalize thoughts when mad. Granted, I'm good with maps and my wife can verbally remove skin from her unfortunate victims but I think this and other subtle differences are not confined to our twosome. Another difference off the top of my head - pain threshold. Even though women tend to cry easier (although the male "strong, silent type" machismo is probably why our tickers tend to quit working earlier), they can handle pain better. I don't think most men could live through child-birth. Heh, I wouldn't. ;)
